Little Camas Peak is an unofficially named summit located on the far eastern edge of Idaho’s Danskin Mountains. It’s found just west of Little Camas Reservoir, near Windy Gap on Highway 20. It’s a quick and easy walkup hike that can be climbed year-round.

I was on my way to bigger adventures, and figured this one would make for a good leg stretcher. Here's a view looking up toward the summit from near where I parked, next to the road east of the peak.

The only obstacle on this treeless summit was sagebrush. Would be pretty hot out here in summer.

Small cairn on the summit.

Time to retrace my path back down. Notice the dry reseroir in the distance.

Map of my route. Just under 2 miles and 800' elevation gain round trip, in a leisurely 50 minutes of hiking.
