Lower Germania Peaks
Germania Creek flows through the southern portion of central Idaho’s White Cloud Mountains. Its headwaters are near the top of Pole Creek, and from there it flows all the way to the East Fork Salmon River. There are a couple obscure peaks by Germania Creek, near the East Fork, that were my goal for the day.

After just over 4 hours driving from Boise, I made it to the well marked trailhead.

It was a beautiful day as I made my way up the valley.

Here’s the first little peak. I'm calling it Germania Point.

No more leaves on the aspen in November. After about 3 miles, I left the trail here to head up the peak.

A bit of route-finding up through rock ledges, and soon enough I had this summit view looking up Germania Creek.

After a snack, it was time to descend. Here's a view looking down the valley from near the summit.

Now back down the trail aways, I was heading up "Lower Germania Peak".

No obstacles on the way up this little peak, and here’s a summit view looking back up the valley and terrain I'd hiked earlier. What a beautiful day!

Map of my route. Around 7 miles and 2000' elevation gain round trip, in 3 hours of hiking.
